Ohio ASHI

Welcome to the Ohio Chapter of ASHI

The Ohio Chapter of ASHI is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1989.  We are a regional chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), founded in 1976, ASHI is North America's oldest and most respected professional society of Home Inspectors. ASHI's goals have always been to build customer awareness of the importance of a quality home inspectiion and enhance the professionalism of Home Inspectors.

Chapter members work collectively to establish high professional standards and provide continuing education, outreach and contact information to one another and those interested in the inspection profession.

Whether you are a homebuyer, seller, professional home inspector or other interested party, you can find knowledgable and experienced home inspection professionals in the Ohio Chapter.

We invite you to explore our site for information about the home inspection profession and the importance of using an ASHI Member for your home inspection needs.

Ohio ASHI congratulates one of our own, Tim Buell, for winning the Ironman award.

Established in 1998, the Ironman Award recognizes an individual member who has given his or her time, energy, talent and determination to ASHI over a long period of time and with little recognition. It was presented by the Society's outgoing president, Marvin Goldstein, during the Gala Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with InspectionWorld 2013.

“In his 10 years as an ASHI member, Tim has accomplished a great deal of good for the Inspection profession said Mr. Goldstein. He provided the leadership necessary to grow the Ohio ASHI chapter from 62 ASHI members to 96 between 2009 and 2012--very challenging times for the inspection profession. He has been at the forefront of joint educational efforts with NAHI that I have been pleased to attend and participate with NAHI leaders. He has led the effort to give ASHI membership discounts of 10% to franchise inspectors-like Pillar to Post- that provide many members to ASHI. He has served on the Chapter Relations committee, Instructor at the ASHI school and currently on the Board of ASHI Education Inc. and with his experience as an accountant, a financial advisor to the ASHI Board." Tim is now a highly respected member of the ASHI national Board of Directors and I look forward to his accomplishing great things for the inspection profession."
